This study investigated the development of students' social communication skills through computer science education in higher education institutions. In today’s digital era, effective communication and appropriate use of information technology (IT) are critical for student success. Computer science, as an academic discipline, offers unique opportunities to combine technological and social skills. The research evaluated a specialized computer science curriculum designed to enhance students’ social communicative competence. We conducted across three universities in Uzbekistan (Chirchik State Pedagogical University, Karshi State University, and Namangan State University) involving 444 students and utilizing pedagogical experiments, surveys, and practical tasks to assess communication development through problem-solving exercises, creativity tests, and social interaction evaluations. Results showed a 15% improvement in communication skills within experimental groups compared to controls. These findings demonstrate the potential for integrating social communication development into computer science education, providing actionable strategies for educators to enhance these skills in the digital age. © School of Engineering, Taylor's University.
