Creativity is crucial to develop in students to overcome increasingly complex problems in the 21st-century era. For this reason, this study aims to determine the effect of hands-on activities for making colloidal products on students' creativity. The colloidal product made in this research was natural watercolor. In this research, the researchers used a descriptive research design. The participants involved in this study were twenty-eight eleventh-grade senior high school students. Data analysis was performed by completing student worksheets based on Williams' creativity indicators and assessing students' watercolor products. The results of this study revealed that students had very high creativity on the indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and evaluation by 82%, 92%, 94%, 83%, and 84%, respectively. In addition, the students' watercolor assessment results on the indicators of novelty and uniqueness were 76.5% and 100%. Based on these results, hands-on activities have the potential to be applied in chemistry learning as an effort to train students' creativity. © 2026 American Institute of Physics Inc..
