This study aims to improve 21st-century skills with the inquiry levels model in accounting subjects. This study uses a qualitative approach, with Classroom Action Research used as the research method. The objects of this research are from accounting high schools in West Java. The results showed increased critical thinking skills and the students' ability to access, analyze, and synthesize information, initially at less and moderate levels in Cycle I. Then, in Cycle II, students' abilities increased to good in all assessment categories. Working in groups gives students the same responsibility to solve existing problems and trains critical thinking skills and the ability to perform analysis. This research was conducted using inquiry-based learning because in this learning model, students are required to be able to solve problems, encouraging the growth of skills valuable in the 21st-century, including critical thinking, communication, creativity and active learning. Inquiry-level learning makes learning more exciting and meaningful through student engagement because learning should be student-centered with teacher assistance, creating a conducive learning climate. © 2024 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
