Wingeom Software: Teacher Alternative For Improving Students' Mathematical Communication Ability On Geometry

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether learning geometry with the help of wingeom software can improve the mathematical communication skills of students of SMP Negeri 6 Kayuagung OKI Academic Year 2022-2023. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research instrument is a test. Data analysis techniques, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results showed that the percentage of 12.9% of students was in the high category, 77.4% of students were in the medium category, and 9.7% of students were in the low category. It was concluded that the mathematics communication ability of class VIII students at one of the Kayuagung State Middle Schools in the subject of flat sided geometric shapes were in the medium category. © 2024 American Institute of Physics Inc..
