Teachers are essential in creating awareness among students about protecting the environment. Climate Change Education (CCE) can be used as an alternative approach to raise awareness of climate change. This research examines the impact of teacher motivation on student awareness and thinking skills in the context of CCE. The study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. A total of 254 students were selected using simple random sampling to participate in the research. The results indicate that teacher motivation significantly and positively impacts student awareness and thinking skills. This suggests that teacher motivation and strategies are critical in improving the effectiveness of environmental education. The research provides valuable insights into the factors that enhance teacher motivation in the context of CCE, which can inform the development of innovative approaches and teaching methods. The pedagogical model produced by this research can serve as a starting point for developing more targeted models in further research related to CCE studies. © 2024 The authors.
