This research aims to: 1) develop a product in the form of a mobile-based interactive e-module (MIeM) to foster earthquake swarms disaster mitigation awareness (ESDMA) for junior high school students at West Halmahera Indonesia; 2) determine the validity of MIeM; 3) determine the effectiveness of using the developed MIeM in fostering students’ ESDMA; and 4) identify the characteristics of the developed MIeM. This development research method follows the ADDIE stages (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). The implementation was carried out using a pretest-posttest control group design. The analysis results show that the product MIeM is declared valid for use in science learning. The implementation of the developed MIeM was found to be significantly more effective in fostering students’ ESDMA compared to conventional modules. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.
