Spatial ability is a fundamental skill in STEM education, especially in geometry, yet Indonesian secondary school students often show low achievement in spatial-related topics. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review to analyze 15 empirical studies on the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in enhancing spatial ability among secondary school students in Indonesia. Findings reveal that AR effectively supports the development of visualization, mental rotation, and spatial orientation skills by providing interactive, immersive, and context-rich learning experiences. Implementation strategies include Android-based applications, subject-specific AR modules, and integration with models such as Project-Based Learning. However, challenges remain in terms of limited device accessibility, low teacher digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and the need for curriculum alignment. These findings highlight the importance of comprehensive teacher training, stronger policy support, and the development of relevant and curriculum-integrated AR content to ensure the sustainable and scalable use of AR in improving spatial ability within Indonesian secondary education. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
