This research aims to design effective global warming learning to build environmental awareness for young people, especially facing issues in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Learning effectiveness is measured through the collaborative skills profile. Learning was designed by considering several aspects, including previous learning, a literature study of global warming, government policies, as well as sharing and jumping tasks. The developed lesson design was tried out in grade ten of a senior high school in Bandung, Indonesia. The learning process, both audio and video, during the trial was recorded for further analysis. Audio/video were transcribed for analysis applying collaborative skills indicator. It was found that global warming learning was quite effective as indicated by the growth of 7 indicators of collaborative skills in students. Students can build dialogue, respect each other, work together, and care for each other. This research produced the lesson design of global warming that is empirically validated to inspire teachers. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.
