This article aims to analyze whether or not some differences in mathematical communication ability based on self-regulated learning level of senior high school students during Covid-19 pandemic are present. The research applied a quantitative approach with comparative descriptive method involving senior high school students of science class in Pringsewu regency, Lampung as the population of the research. The sampling was carried out with a cluster sampling trough two stages, namely: (1) determination of regional samples; and (2) determination of research subject by using stratified random sampling. The instruments are a test of mathematical communication ability and a self-regulated learning questionnaire. The result showed that there are differences in mathematical communication ability based on self-regulated learning level of high school students during Covid-19 pandemic. Students equipped with good self-regulated learning have higher learning outcomes than those equipped with medium or low of self-regulated learning. © 2023 Author(s).
