Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has demanded a drastic leap in the use of technology, which has also affected the education system. Although digital technology has an essential role in the pedagogical aspect, technology can also act as a barrier if students use it more in activities unrelated to learning. This study aims to explain the extent to which digital distraction affects math class. The method used in this study is a rapid review design as an approach to the appropriate review to achieve the main objective of the research, namely synthesizing literature in a limited time. The results of this study show that digital distraction can be one of the inhibiting factors for achieving learning outcomes and needs to be handled by teachers during mathematics learning. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
