The purpose of this study was to investigate the semantic network keywords of students in the Levels of Inquiry (LoI) learning to the stage real-world application (experimental class) compared with LoI until the stage inquiry labs (control class). The research method used is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects used 72 students consist of 46 males and 26 females with their average age 15 years old of class X at one of the high schools in Duri City with convenience sampling technique. The instrument used to determine the students' semantic network was a pretest and posttest in the form of an open-ended essay question task about the concepts of momentum and impulse. The data were analyzed using a software-assisted semantic network analysis called Netminer version 4.x64. After learning, overall the results showed that the implementation of Levels of Inquiry could improve students' mastery of concepts in the material of momentum and impulse. The results of the analysis of pretest the semantic network of students in the control class found 3 keywords with a small frequency to represent the concept of momentum and impulse, and in the posttest it was found that it increased to 10 keywords with a greater frequency of occurrence while the results of the analysis pretest of the students' semantic network in the experimental class found 3 keywords with a small frequency to represent the concept of momentum and impulse, and in the posttest found to increase to 11 keywords with a greater frequency of occurrence. © 2023 Author(s).
