The study in this research discusses the progress of technological research in visual design using bibliometric techniques through VOSviewer mapping analysis. The research obtained data references from the Google Scholar database that can be explored through the Publish or Perish application. The data have been collected by referring to the title and abstract of the article's keyword used, namely visual design technology. There were 997 articles found that were considered relevant. This research uses study materials from Google Scholar that marked the period of the last 10 years from 2012 until 2022. This study found that visual design technology terms are divided into 2 terms, namely technology and visual design. A total of 194 links and 1168 total links strength referred to the term of technology. For the visual design term, it shows as many as 110 links with 236 total link strength. The results obtained from the analysis of visual design technology publications in the last 10 years have been showing a declining level of popularity. Research fluctuations occurring from 2012-2016 showed as many as 136, 141, 117, 156, and 110 publications per year. In the last 6 years (2016-2022), there has been a declining number of research. On the other hand, keywords of visual design technology research were found in 2015 with a total of 156 studies. The articles were found in publications related to visual design technology and checked using VOSviewer. This review could be used as the first step in research that is related material. © 2023 Taylor's University. All rights reserved.
