Reliability is one of the main characteristics indicating the quality of a test. A reliable test will give consistent measurement results. The reliability of an instrument can be estimated using several methods. This study aims to: 1) estimate the reliability of the misconception test for seventh grade of junior high school students on geometry using internal consistency approach; 2) compare the estimation results based on internal consistency approach using the split-half method (Spearman-Brown, Flanagan, Rulon), Kuder-Richardson, and Cronbach's Alpha. This study was a descriptive research. The diagnostic test for the misconceptions of seventh grade junior high school students on geometry has been tested on 249 junior high school students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The students' responses were analyzed using Microsoft Excel to get an estimation of the reliability. The results of the data analysis showed: 1) the estimation of the reliability coefficient of the diagnostic test results of misconceptions on geometry material using the Spearman-Brown, Flanagan, Rulon, Kuder-Richardson 20, and Cronbach's Alpha method, respectively, was 0.712; 0.704; 0.707; 0.705; and 0.705; 2) the estimation method using the Spearman-Brown formula gives the highest reliability estimation results among other internal consistency estimation methods. © 2023 Author(s).
