The Wilkinson power divider plays a critical role in microwave engineering and circuit design, comprising passive components and offering reversibility, enabling it to serve as a power combiner when needed. The method proposed for designing this power divider is based on an analysis of even/odd mode circuits and strip transmission lines. The design process relies on established equations, and initial designs were fine-Tuned for achieving ultra-wideband frequencies. As a result, the dimensions of the power divider were optimized to 90 mm by 71 mm. The frequency range of this Wilkinson power divider satisfies the demands of ultra-wideband applications, spanning from 3 GHz to 10.6 GHz. The insertion loss is at its lowest, approximately-6 dB at 10 GHz, and the isolation remains consistently below-10 dB across the specified frequency range. © 2023 IEEE.
