Abstract

This study clearly shows that the religious education perspective of children’s rights advocates included a sense of maternal love or the motherhood protection, that there was a vacuum that permitted an ideological political intervention in the cultivation of religious sentiments of children, that religion was a hidden curriculum of children’s lives in early childhood education, and that educators needed a general knowledge of religions to pay attention to children’s religious values nurtured in the home. © 2022 selection and editorial matter, Arniika Kuusisto.
