Ethnomathematics is an alternative that connects culture with mathematical concepts. Indonesia, as an archipelagic nation, offers a rich cultural diversity, ethnic issues in particular, that can be used into math education. A colonial-era fort in the Maluku region is one example of a cultural heritage items that can be utilized as an ethnomathematics object. The goal of this study is to create digital learning topics based on ethnomathematics at historical fortress locations in Maluku that satisfy the requirements for being legitimate, useful, and practical for use as teaching tools for mathematics, particularly geometric transformation.The digital learning media developed a combination of software which was Cabri Geometry II for representing the forts into geometric shapes, Canva for editing tutorial videos that contained the forts as a geometric transformation object, Microsoft Office for designing e-book before saved in PDF format, and Flip PDF Corporate Edition as the final software for finishing e-book. This research used the Research and Development approach, with the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The analysis stage was carried out through initial observations, teacher interviews and mathematical concept analysis. The design stage was carried out by designing flowcharts, material content and media display design. The development stage was carried out by validating the product by education expert and practitioners. The implementation stage was carried out by testing the product on students of SMA Negeri (State Senior High School) 1 Ternate, North Maluku Province. The evaluation stage was carried out by assessing the product result of the trial. Data from testing digital learning media products showed that 84.37% of students gave positive responses to digital learning media with an ethnomathematics approach which means most aspects of the learning media have been satisfy with very good category and the media product is suitable for used at broader implementation stage. According to these results, digital resources that use an ethnomathematics approach are ideal for use by teachers and students as supplemental materials in mathematics classes, especially when it comes to geometric transformation. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
