Augmented Reality technology is currently used by several commercial brand as a media experience. One form of development is the use of AR technology in image tracking in packaging design. Image-tracking based AR technology can make it easier for customers to detect object on product packaging so they can access product usage information. This study aims to design AR using image tracking on the 'WASHUE' product packaging to introduce products to consumers using the AR Filter feature on Instagram. In the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method there are five stages, namely the stages of concept, design, collection of materials, assembly, testing, and distribution. AR filter design is done by creating 3D assets using Blender software, followed by creating AR filters using the Spark AR software. After that, black box testing was carried out as an internal test which obtained appropriate result at all stages of testing the use of the AR filter, also testing the usability of the AR filter was carried out on 7 customers using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method which obtained a SUS score of 78.92 which was included in the "Good"category. Then the results of the AR filter are distributed to a wider range through 'WASHUE' Instagram account. This research produces an AR filter based on image tracking that is applied to the Instagram application and a packaging design called 'WASHUE'. The conclusion of this study, designed AR filters can improve the experience of the product. © 2025 Author(s).
