Energy stands as an indispensable cornerstone inherently woven into the fabric of daily existence. Concurrently, Vocational High Schools (SMK) emerge as pivotal educational bastions closely intertwined with industries, energy consumption, and effective utilization. Their substantive contribution extends to shaping the prospective landscape of sustainability and energy preservation. The inaugural stride toward realizing this role necessitates a comprehensive appraisal of students' grasp and comportment concerning routine energy employment and conservation - commonly delineated as energy literacy. This research undertakes a meticulous exploration of energy literacy within the realm of vocational education, its focus trained on the behavioral facets. The research design follows a descriptive quantitative trajectory, employing a survey methodology complemented by an energy literacy questionnaire that engaged 545 participants. The ensuing analysis spotlights an average energy literacy score of 3.35 in relation to behavioral dimensions, signifying a commendable penchant for energy-conscious conduct among students. Notably, the research findings accentuate a lack of pronounced differentiation in energy literacy behavior across varied competence strata, grade tiers, and genders. The insights harnessed through this study stand as a pivotal repository, steering the enhancement of forthcoming students' energy literacy. Serving as a compass, they inform the refinement of pedagogical paradigms, nurturing cohorts adept at seamless integration of energy-conscious practices. This endeavor, in its culmination, converges toward sculpting a generation predisposed to instinctively incorporate energy mindfulness into their daily routines, thereby instigating a broader societal metamorphosis towards sustainable energy norms. © 2025 Author(s).
