In this paper, the optimization of microfluidic mixers based on meander was performed. The microfluidic mixer is designed with three different structures developing a mixing of passive micro winding water and varying through three ratios. COMSOL Multi-physics was used to optimize the design. The results show that the meander structure with a geometry ratio of 1: 2 generates the highest mixing index than the other ratios. In addition, the increase in Reynolds number causes the mixing index improvement. The results from this study will benefit the future development of Lab on Chip applications. © 2020 IEEE.
