This study aims to describe the process of scientific inquiry and the assessment instruments used in Science learning. This is the development research, which adopted from Beichner's development test method (1994). The object in this study is 6 Junior high school Science teachers in Bandung. The instruments used by questionnaires and documents and analyzed descriptively. The results show as follow: 1) teachers is difficult to apply the research activities/practicum, 2) teachers still uses the multiple-choice assessment which dominated by the C1 (knowledge) - C2 (comprehension) question as measure cognitive ability, while the question based on scientific inquiry/science process skills, especially the interpreting data skills and the scientific evidence has never been yet, 3) teachers and students need the instrument model to interpret the data and the scientific evidence in the biology inquiry as Curriculum 2013. © 2020 ACM.
