The research is motivated by the importance of mastering interpersonal communication skills by elementary school students. The research objective is to obtain the interpersonal communication skills profile of elementary school students based on indicators of openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality. The study was conducted at the elementary lab school UPI Bandung using a quantitative approach and descriptive study method. The research sample in this study was fifth-grade (VB and VC) students of the elementary lab school UPI Bandung with 56 students. The results showed that the interpersonal communication skills of fifth-grade elementary school students were generally at medium qualifications with a proportion of 48.21%. The positiveness indicator was a low category, in addition to the interpersonal communication skills of female students was higher than men students. © IJSTR 2020.
