This study aims to formulate the issue of the human person contained in the Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian manuscript as one of the local cultural wisdom, to produce a formulation of a human person for the enrichment and development of education. Efforts to uncover and formulate a human person in the SSK manuscript require the power of interpretation, so the right method is done using hermeneutics-phenomenology. Human person (or human nature) in this study contains three aspects which are personal aspects, uniqueness, and self-identity. The human person in Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian manuscript includes personal of "soil" and "water", self-uniqueness of bayu-sabda-hedap, and catur-yogya self-identity. All of them are the basis for authenticity growth, which contributes to the development of education, especially in Indonesia. © 2020 Primrose Hall Publishing Group.
