Abstract

In facing 4.0 industrial revolution, creation and optimization of different products are considered as a way for improving sales. Here, this study aimed to produce a new type of product based on earthworms. Specifically, this study evaluated the production of earthworm nanoparticles, including the strategies for providing business feasibility and improving nanoparticle products in Indonesia. This study used the ball-milling method and the internal external analysis matrix. The study found that in producing nanoparticle using ball mill tools, the capacity and quality of products depend on the size and volume of the nanoparticle production tool. In addition to the dimension of the tool, the physicochemical properties of raw materials must be considered. The present strategy is prospective for being applied in developing nanoparticle products in developing countries such as Indonesia. © School of Engineering, Taylor’s University.
