Electrolyte and non-electrolytes solution is of major importance because of its presence in our lives as human beings, and one prerequisite for understanding the of the further. However, students are prone to several misconceptions regarding this topic. This research is to investigation students’ misconception of the tenth-grade high school. This method of research uses descriptive method. The instrument used two-tier multiple choicebased on pictorial which consists 18 questions. The instrument has been tested validity of CVR and CVI which values are one and the value of Cronbach’s Alpha for the entire items amounted to 0.706. Items applied to the tenth grade students in high, medium and low school. Based on the results of the application, the identified misconception most experienced students: when ionic compound dissolved in water, an ionic compound will be ionized into ions, the negative side of the water molecule (oxygen) interacts with the anion and the positive side of the water molecule (hydrogen) interacts with cation (37.78%). Misconception of the tenth-grade high school students on it the in high and low school area have significant differences by one way ANOVA indicates the level of significance <0.05 (0.045). © 2017 American Scientific Publishers.
